R.A.M.S. is the home of alternative music, social events, and clubnights at the University of Staffordshire since 2009 (16 years!)

If you like music, hanging out with others, and feeling included, the R.A.M.S. crowd is diverse with those who love all sorts of hobbies, such as gaming (both tabletop and video games), arts, quizzes and much more.

Every member of R.A.M.S. is different, but we all come together over our love for music and are always welcome to new members, our music varies from heavy metal to punk, goth to emo, if it's alternative, you can enjoy it here!

What we do:

• Host music nights at the local student venues, namely R.A.M.S. Karaoke and R.A.M.S. Invasions.
• Host collaborative events such as the "Monster's Ball" on Halloween, our very own valentines bash, and the famous Tavern night with The Coven, Folklore, Myth and the LGBTQ+ society.
• Meet up frequently at other student events such as Tuesday Karaoke and any other events put on by the union.
• Frequently attend events and venues outside of the University, such as Devils Night, we even have a R.A.M.S. Camp at Download some years!
• Facilitate life-long friendships between members!
• Raise money through the year for amazing charities like The Sophie Lancaster Foundation and Project 93!

Benefits of the R.A.M.S. Membership:

• You gain a free wristband, entitling you to discounted entry to Devils Night! (Last Saturday of the month, The Sugarmill)
• FREE entry to ALL R.A.M.S. events, and entitlement to come along to our collaborative events such as the Monster Ball, Valentines Bash, and Tavern! (Dates TBA)
• Access to R.A.M.S. Merch!
• And finding a group of people you can call friends, possibly for life!

What we're looking to do:

• We're looking to hold more fundraisers for charities
• Host a whole new range of activities to keep RAMS feeling fresh and enjoyable!
• More collaborations with more societies (stay tuned to learn who...)
• Live music! 
• Extending the value of our wristbands with other discounts and uses.
